Many congratulations to Willie Garson ( Martin Lloyd in SG1 ) for his directorial debut in the White Collar episode Quantico Closure which aired on the fifth of December. He also plays the character of Mozzie in the series who is wonderfully convoluted and a joy to watch:)
It was a few quick scenes but with lines so why didn’t our own Gary Jones get a open credit on the Psych Musical as Charlos the stage manager, you appear alongside the main cast in multiple scenes I think he deserved better, maybe if he had a song to sing:)
It seems I am always playing catch up but I managed to watch an episode of White Collar tonight and Mike Dopud was the main guest star, granted he was playing a pretty much by the numbers bad guy but once again he proves how talented he is with his voice and mannerisms when portraying characters from various backgrounds. The last time I saw him on screen he was as western European as they come and this time Russian and I believed them both despite having seen him be “himself” I guess playing roles that didn’t need accent tailoring, mind you he is fluent in three languages so it’s certainly doesn’t harm his range:)

Many thanks to SF Series And Movies for this Christopher Judge + Dalek + Trek merging of themes.

It has to be, I tell you no matter how much you are enjoying the programme you are watching which in this case was The Tomorrow People eighth episode “Thanatos” when you see that cabin in the woods you have to point and shout out I know that place. It certainly generates a response from those around you but what the hell it’s the cabin:)
On a separate matter great to see Simon Merrells guest starring in the show, not Stargate related I know but we did see him last as Marcus Crassus in Spartacus.
You’ll notice a few familiar Stargate faces in this latest movie “Feed The Gods” from director Braden Croft. I’ve backed the project and once again surprised I’ll commit to paying more for a smaller budget flick than I would a Blu-ray blockbuster.

I tell ya the guy still looks good even under all the aging makeup, maybe he’s not going to sweep the likes of Sam Carter off her feet but Garwin Sanford as the King in the Once Upon A Time In Wonderland episode “Heart of Stone” struck a very regal pose:) We know Garwin better from his time on both Stargate SG1 and Atlantis as a bit of a love interest for both Amanda’s and Torri’s characters.
He also recently starred in the “b” movie Independence Daysaster which was wonderfully bad in the good way:)

So we got to see Ben Cotton in a couple of roles this weekend in Once Upon A Time In Wonderland and The Tomorrow People (well they were broadcast earlier but only just got around to watching these two shows). In the fifth episode “Heart of Stone” Ben is playing Tweedle #2 one of the lackies to the Queen, behind all the makeup he is most certainly a greasy diabolical henchman:) In the seventh episode of The Tomorrow People “Limbo” Ben plays a character we know little about and has few redeeming features, queue the need to dig into the dark side of the character and play it bleak but with the slight edge of humour we’ve seen from Ben before.
Two very different roles but both having merit and it’s great to see Ben turning up on so many shows during this year:)

I settled down to catch up with some of this weeks television from the states and behold two familiar faces appeared on the telly, well lots of familiar faces did but these two have guest starred on various live action Stargate:)
Neil Jackson
Neil starred as Abraham Van Brunt in the Sleepy Hollow episode Necromancer which aired in the US on the 18th of November. Neil guest starred in the Stargate SG1 episode Prototype and the Atlantis episode Vegas as well as a lead actor in Blade The TV series and more recently Make It or Break It and Lightfields.
Michael Welch
Michael played a young Jack O’Neill in the Stargate SG1 episode Fragile Balance before going on to a supporting role in Joan of Arcadia and spots on the CSI shows plus the Twilight movie series. He guest starred as Jake Barnes in the recent episode of Grimm entitled One Night Stand which aired on the 15th of November.
Michael Kopsa appeared in two of the major genre series this past week, first off he was “The Prisoner” in the Arrow episode Keep Your Enemies Closer and then he played the Sheriff in the Supernatural episode Heaven Can’t Wait.
Michael played General Kerrigan and a news anchor on three episodes of Stargate SG1 and more recently was the Observer Captain Widmark in Fringe.

Robert Picardo and Jason George on stage during their performance of 12 Angry Men at the Pasadena Playhouse
The two former Stargate actors are playing parts in one of the classic stage productions which went on to become a very good 1957 black and white movie starring some of the highest calibre actors of the era.
Thanks to Robert for posting the picture on his twitter feed.

Mike Dopud (SG1, SGU & SGA) is guest starring in a couple of episodes (so far) of Covert Affairs which is currently airing on the USA Network in the states. Mike’s IMDB Twitter
I’m slowly but surely catching up with the latest bunch of episodes:) Covert Affairs Official Site
David Blue guest starred in the recent episode of Castle “A Murder is Forever” playing Kyle, personally I think he is in disguise as a mild mannered assistant with a sort of Clark Kent persona, what do you think?
It’s been a while since David graced a Stargate set and we certainly miss Eli Wallace one of the success stories of Stargate Universe and for sure a good guest star spot on a hit show is icing but we want cake so lets hope he gets himself a lead role in the near future. Until then roll on the guest spots and podcasting:)

Our own goddess Suanne Braun is playing the evil some would say wicked Queen in the 2013/14 Winchester Pantomime “Snow White” and may I say quite often the wicked ones are by far the most interesting:)
Theatre Royal launches Winchester’s 2013 Christmas pantomime (From Hampshire Chronicle).
A huge thankyou to TrekZone for posting these interviews with Joe and Gary from their coverage of Supanova.
