Well shame on me but I never put two and two together to realise than Jonathan Lloyd Walker who guest starred as Ta’Seem in the Stargate SG1 season ten episode Dominion not only guest starred on Continuum (three times so far) but also writes and story edits for the series. In the recent episode “30 Minutes to Air” Jonathan played Commander Bradley and also co-produced and wrote the episode and while I knew him on sight I never noticed his name in the credits during his tenure on the show. Jonathan has previously guest starred on Fringe, Smallville, RED, Flash Gordon, V, The Thing and Supernatural.

Finally caught up with Supernatural by watching the latest episode “Blade Runners” which deals with the ongoing search for the First Blade and Cowley’s minor dalliances with the perils of humanity. The notable guest star for this week was our own Kavan Smith playing the mysterious Magnus who has the potential to be a strong ally in the battles to come, it doesn’t quite go to plan but then it rarely does:)

Kavan recently starred in Rogue and made a guest appearance on Almost Human and we all loved him in Stargate SG1 and Atlantis and then all over again in Eureka.

Caught up with Saving Hope and yes I’ve seen the punch that has been a major talking point throughout the twitter feed but more importantly it was great to see Kate Hewlett guest starring on the episode Twinned Lambs playing Sarah a pregnant woman who has complications. The episode aired on CTV on February the 20th, no date for the UK airings as of yet.

We patiently await Kate’s appearance in Debug alongside a few other familiar faces from Stargate.

So we got to see Ben Cotton in a couple of roles this weekend in Once Upon A Time In Wonderland and The Tomorrow People (well they were broadcast earlier but only just got around to watching these two shows). In the fifth episode “Heart of Stone” Ben is playing Tweedle #2 one of the lackies to the Queen, behind all the makeup he is most certainly a greasy diabolical henchman:) In the seventh episode of The Tomorrow People “Limbo” Ben plays a character we know little about and has few redeeming features, queue the need to dig into the dark side of the character and play it bleak but with the slight edge of humour we’ve seen from Ben before.

Two very different roles but both having merit and it’s great to see Ben turning up on so many shows during this year:)

There are some shows that make it too easy to spot a familiar face from Stargate even one who only graced the franchise for a single episode but Enid-Raye Adams made an impression as Jones in the SG1 episode Prometheus and the other day I watched her guest star as the slightly dodgy realtor “Josie” in the season two Arctic Air episode “Stormy Weather”.

She has also appeared on Fringe, Cold Squad, Psych, The L Word and Intelligence.

I’m in the final season of my Deep Space Nine rewatch and a name popped up in the credits for the episode “Prodigal Daughter” that I recognised thanks to having seen quite a bit of his performance on Stargate Atlantis over the last month or so.

Please be in awe of Clayton Landey who under a ton of prosthetics plays the security officer Fuchida who rescues Miles from a beating by enforcers of the Orion Syndicate. It was a small role but I always get a buzz when I recognise actors in other series, in this case an earlier role before appearing as Colonel Dillon Everett in SGA.

I just watched the Castle episode “The Wild Rover” S5E18 and spotted an oh so familiar face playing Maggie Finch.

Castle_ChristinaCox

Christina Cox appeared in two episodes of Stargate SG1 first as the alien “T’akaya” in Spirits then as Lieutenant Kershaw in The Sentinel. Christina popped up again in the excellent Atlantis episode”Whispers” playing the SG unit commander Major Anne Teldy.
She has also starred in Blood Ties, FX The Series and Defying Gravity.

Motive_PeterKelamis

Peter Kelamis guest starred as Jack Carlin in the episode “Against All Odds” the fourth outing for the new Canadian crime drama Motive which is currently airing on CTV. The series identifies both the victim and the killer before any crime happens and the show follows the detectives as they piece together the circumstances and ultimately the motive. I wasn’t that impressed with the series premiere but the three episodes since have been excellent.

Peter played Dr Adam Brody in Stargate Universe and made two appearances in Stargate SG1 as well as doing voice work and stand up comedy.

Mike Dupod (SGU, SG1 & SGA) guest starred in the episode “Harvest” from The Transporter series a multi-national co-production currently airing in Canada, Germany and France. Mike played Drago Sujic a bad guy doing bad things but for an understandable reason and clashes with Frank Martin the Transporter.
The episode was directed by Brad Turner and Andy Mikita two former Stargate directors and written by Carl Binder (many a Stargate  episode to his name) other episodes have been penned by Paul Mullie and Joseph Mallozzi.

Behind the times for their original US screenings but still to come for most other TV markets so here is Ronny Cox guest starring in Leverage S5E6 “The D.B. Cooper Job” and then Colin Cunningham looking more like our Major Davis than Pope in the pilot of Perception.
