An interview with Richard Dean Anderson while he is down under, thanks to RDA’s own website and The Big Couch via MIX94.5 for the initial posting. We’ve been told Richard will also appear on Sunrise 7 the early morning Australian breakfast show around 8.20am on Monday 11th.

I spotted two familiar faces this week on the latest episodes of NCIS and The Mentalist, on NCIS Jay Acovone played Frankie Dean in the episode Prime Suspect and Erick Avari was Dr Lance Reinhardt in the Mentalist episode Red Lacquer Nail Polish.

A welcome return to the Canadian time travel scifi series starring Rachel Nichols and quite a few former Stargate actors such as Tony Amendola, Jennifer Spence, Lexa Doig and Roger R Cross. The second season is in production with an unconfirmed premiere date on the 21st of April.

Christopher Heyerdahl guest starred in “Hunt” the second part of a double bill in this weeks Castle playing Jacque Henri a mysterious man who comes to Castle’s aid. Christopher appeared in twenty two episodes of Stargate Atlantis and a single episode of SG1 as well as recurring roles on Sanctuary, True Blood and the Twilight series of movies.

Vanessa Angel discusses her role on the audio drama Hothouse Bruiser, she plays Miss Power Tools which says everything you really need to know about the world the story takes place in:)
Vanessa played the Tok’ra Anise/Freya in three episodes of Stargate SG1 and generated quite a bit of back and forth over her costumes and the romantic intent given her Tok’ra half was attracted to Daniel and her human half to Jack.

With the new season almost upon us (Feb 27th) I watched the pilot of Psych and there were a few familiar faces beginning with Don S. Davis himself (SG1, SGA), Christopher Heyerdahl (SGA) in an early role and Pascale Hutton (SGA). Also small roles for Chelan Simmons (SGA), Artine Brown (SG1), Ian Robison (SG1) and Jocelyne Loewen (SG1).
Uncredited appearances by Calum Worthy (SGA), Lucia Walters (SG1, SGA) and Peter Kelamis (SGU, SG1).

News from this years Shore Leave 35 is that Amanda Tapping is scheduled to attend the August 2nd through 4th convention along with William Shatner and Julie Caitlin Brown. Other guests include some very big authors from the Trek and Scifi genres which includes Keith R.A. DeCandido, A.C. Crispin, Aaron Rosenberg and Michael Jan Friedman.

Erin Chambers who played Sora in three episodes of Stargate Atlantis guest starred on NCIS:LA last week as Jenna Parish in the episode Kill House. It aired in the US on February 5th and is due for broadcast on SKY1 in the UK April 7th.
