Ben Browder is starring in the movie Dead Still playing Brandon Davis who inherits and old camera and the people he photographs begin to die, this should be fun 🙂 The movie will be airing on the US Syfy channel on October the sixth as part of their annual Halloween season.
Yes I know it’s way too easy to spot a familiar face from the days of Stargate on Cedar Cove and not just in front of the camera but the joys of not seeing trailers is that you can still be surprised so surprised I was when Julia Benson appeared in the seventh episode of the second season “One Day at a Time” playing Jeri Drake a reporter from Jack’s past and stirring things up quite a bit. I’m not sure if I like the character or that I don’t want Julia to be playing a bit of a bitch even if there may a reasonable err reason for her actions:)

Franklin & Bash returned to TNT three weeks ago and in the second episode of the fourth season “Kershaw v. Lincecum” Willie Garson made a guest appearance as Dr. Nick Beckman. Willie has starred in White Collar for five seasons, I assume he’ll turn up in the sixth but come on we all know him better as Martin Lloyd in the three Stargate SG1 episodes Wormhole X-Treme!, 200 and Point of No Return.

Well another bumper crop of familiar faces in the two episodes of Signed Sealed Delivered I’ve watched recently, the first which was episode eight and called “Dark Of Night” which featured three former Stargate actors, the first was an uncredited Nicole Muñoz (SGA) playing I think what would still be considered a candy striper in US terms and then Benita Ha (SG1) playing a nurse in the same scenes, later we get to see Aaron Pearl (SG1) playing well I guess one of the protagonists of the story. In the ninth episode of the season we had the return of Zak Santiago (SG1) as Ramon Rodriguez in the episode “The Treasure Box” and yes with a song and dance number and finally Richard de Klerk (SG1) who played Jonathan Walker in what was both a comedic and moving episode.
A two for one special in the latest episode of Signed Sealed Delivered that I’ve just watched as guest starring in the episode “The Masterpiece” was our own Paul McGillion (Henry Barrett) and Zak Santiago (Ramon Rodriguez).
While the show is a little bit of light hearted fun if you are not careful they stick the knife into your heart and twist so watch out unless you are not afraid to shed a tear or two in front of company:)
Signed, Sealed, Delivered just finished it’s first season on the Hallmark channel and as you would expect it’s aimed at a specific demographic but it has a cast that is not unfamiliar to the mainstream and genre audience and Crystal Lowe has a lead in the series as Rita a look and role which is a little different, we’ve seen Crystal in the SG1 episode Emancipation and the Atlantis episode Harmony as well as Scary Movie 4, Hot Tub Time Machine and Yeti: Curse of the Snow Demon.
It really should never come as a surprise to see Roger Cross appear on my television yet it always does although it’s always a pleasant surprise. So I’ve finally got around to watching the second season of Orphan Black and Roger guest stars in the fourth episode “Governed as It Were by Chance” playing Carlton a mysterious associate of Mrs S who it seems isn’t shy at all 🙂
