Stargate Special Unit a UT2004 mod for multi-player combat.
The Bouquet is Michael Shanks latest movie, alas not a theatrical feature but a family friendly straight to disc/ondemand and television but there is a market for that and all actors want to work even if it’s not stretching their talents to the max. The movie stars Kristy Swanson and Danny Glover and tells the tale of a struggling family florist whose wayward daughter/sister returns to the fold to save the family and it’s business. As always an entertaining perspective on a well known movie, I can highly recommend you taking the time to have a good dig around the SF Debris site, you’ll find reviews/opinions and some well produced offerings from Trek through Red Dwarf to Howard The Duck. If you like MS3TK or anything similar then you’ll enjoy the “opinions” presented here especially if you are a fan of the particular show or movie:)
A high resolution shot of Anubis and his super starship hovering over Kelowna, you can find more images from the aborted Stargate game SG1: The Alliance over on Past to Present Online.
Thanks to Stargate Atlas for the tweets:)
A huge thank you to everyone who has listened, contributed and supported us through a slightly more difficult 2012 than we expected. We’ve lost quite a few listeners this year the majority I believe thanks to our RSS issues which I know from first hand experience can easily be neglected and then ignored in the belief a cast has died. That aside and with a more positive spin we’ve had a number of co-hosts this year and they have all been fantastic and that’ll be something we will be hoping for more of in 2013. The folks in the UK make scheduling a recording session fairly easy but we certainly want to embrace our overseas audience given that the US specifically accounts for the majority of downloads from 82 separate countries so we’ll be flexible given enough time for everyone to arrange a suitable time frame.
We’ve had excellent support over on twitter, our followers have steadily grown and retweets etc have been center stage in getting word out about our show on that platform. Facebook has also been busy, we have a solid bunch of members on the group but Google+ has lagged behind, more followers but less interaction on the portal.
Anyhow it’s that time of year again so seasons greetings and for those like us who celebrate a very a happy Christmas and for everyone an excellent new year.

Thor the wise and magnificent.
Many thanks to the Save Future Stargate Travel facebook group for posting the picture.
Here we have Christopher Judge modelling his latest accessory the Teal’c’s Revenge add-on to the Stargate Command App, on a side note it was great to see him in Dark Knight Rises even if a small speaking roll:)
Thanks to Eva for tweeting the picture.
The long awaited addon to the Stargate Command iOS app has finally arrived coming in at a modest 69p (UK ) and $0.99 (US) ontop of the free parent app, currently only for Apple devices.
Teal’c’s Revenge is a simple multi-button combat game pitting Teal’s against an every increasing and competent range of Jaffa who exit the Stargate and only Teal’c is capable of defeating them. I’ve played the game for a few minutes and it looks beautiful but perhaps it’s the thin plastic cover I have on my ipad which makes the button responses a little too slow and then missing obvious defence and offence manoeuvres.
As modelled by the Gatecast founder and current host is this seasons new t-shirt with design by Daniel (listener and guest). The shirt was made by Timeline Design & Print a local small business one of whose owners I work with.
A life sized hand made Stargate for the May 2012 Scifi Vally Convention.
Thanks to @enchantedcraft & @atlantistvru
Here is our new Gatecast mousemat based on a design by Daniel a listener and former guest host who may well be back to do an episode with us next year.
I had it made up by Timeline a small business run by Sharon and Phil ( I work with Phil) and they also made up a t-shirt with the same design which is currently on it’s way to Alan:)
It’s only an intermediate design, I think we need to experiment with the colours and maybe some sort of background that I need to learn to take a better picture but you know it’s all about the lighting:)
Here is a brief trailer with some game footage from the DLC for the Stargate Command app.
The first episode of the web series “Fools For Hire” has just been released.
It has an interest to us as it features an ongoing overview from Gary Jones (Walter in SG1) and an appearance by Eric Breker (Reynolds in SG1) besides that it’s quite a funny short, this week the guys chase the corporate dollar wearing pirate costumes:)
