As always it’s such a pleasure to see the stars, guest stars and extras from Stargate making appearances on other shows, more so when it’s unexpected so watching the latest episode of Bones delivered the ever satisfying Robert Picardo onto my television. Robert was playing Dr. Lawrence Rozran in the episode “The Heiress in the Hill” which aired on the 31st of January on FOX.

The cities long range sensors detect an Ancient vessel in deep space where it has lain dormant since the Pegasus galaxy was abandoned by the ancients prior to the sinking of the city. The Daedalus is tasked to investigate and Weir insists that her team go along for the ride as they have more experience dealing with Wraith technology and Caldwell reluctantly agrees. They destroy a Wraith ship which is near the “Aurora” and when beaming over they find the crew in suspended animation although it seems their minds are active within the ships computer perhaps a way to maintain sanity and health for long periods of hibernation. John enters the system to talk to the crew but they’ve forgotten it’s simulation and are busy working on hyperdrive improvements to allow them to return to Atlantis with key information which could turn the tide of the war. McKay discovers that a Wraith is also in the system and when John figures out who it is after continually being arrested and imprisoned the captain and crew finally realise what has become of them and despite the loss of the tactical information they embrace the end and take two Wraith cruisers with them in a fiery display of destructive energy.
Aurora is a cracking little episode, we get to see an ancient warship which is a rather dull design but perhaps it’s functionality is the key for the mass produced vessels in a similar way to the puddle jumpers. The set design however of the interior looks very nice, the bridge is classy looking and once again we see the ancients as being a lot more like us they we were originally led to believe. The butting heads between Weir and Caldwell continues with perhaps an undercurrent of attraction at least from Caldwell, I think he admires Elizabeth’s strength even when it’s aimed at him. MacKay has a lot of fun with his own close encounters and a pleasing role for the delightful Pascale Hutton.
This weeks shows was just Alan and Brad as a last minute change of schedule meant I couldn’t record on the night which was a pity as I liked this episode. Anyhow we hope you enjoy the banter between the two of them and thanks for the feedback and especially Captmacksto and Island Sirene who left us 5 star itunes reviews.
The promo this week is for The Book Cave and next week we return to SG1 for the The Fourth Horseman Part 1 and as always we appreciate feedback in any form and if you fancy joining us for an show then please get in touch:)

A very happy birthday to Sean Millington who appeared in the Stargate Atlantis episode This Mortal Coil as a Marine and also on the SG1 episodes Affinity as a thug and Crossroads as Ronac. Robert Knepper had a great role in the recent episode of Hawaii Five-0 which aired on the 17th entitled “Hana Lokomaika’i” and played an internal affairs investigator working on a case involving Kelly. While from this episode it looks like he is playing a by the book IA officer he still makes you dislike the character which for me is a credit to his performance:)
Robert played Simeon in Stargate Universe and yes he was a bad guy, he also starred in the final season of Heroes as yes another bad guy and of course he was in Prison Break as a very bad guy. Cult, Blacklist, Arrow the list goes on and on and not forgetting he’ll feature in the final two movies of the Hunger Games franchise.
It’s always a shame when a marriage or any partnership fails especially when kids are involved and other issues which may cloud the horizon leading towards an amicable break up. We hope Joe and Katherine all the best for the future and there is nothing on the way to feed the gossip hungry gutter press.

Save My Soul a short movie starring Torri Higginson and Tristin Leffler.
I watched the latest episode of Psych this afternoon and it was a glorious return to form and a little strange as the episode was entitled “Remake A.K.A. Cloudy… With a Chance of Improvement” and pretty much treated the hardcore fan with a story told in an earlier season just done differently. The episode had tons of in-jokes and even made fun of the need for studios to have remakes and also the year this episode was set in and the need to remind the viewer more than once:)
An excellent episode of Psych and for Stargate fans a very very brief appearance by Peter Kelamis ( SG1 & SGU ) in the opening teaser as a defence lawyer and a far more meaty role for Katharine Isabelle ( SG1 ) in the main story. Other actors who struck a cord in the episode but no Stargate ties included the always funny Janet Varney, Ray Wise who always delivers and the excellent Alan Ruck.
Jacob Blair
Jacob played Cpl. Baras in two episodes of Stargate Universe (Deliverance and Resurgence) as well as spots on Fringe, V, BSG Razor, The Grey and The A Team. IMDB Twitter

Colonel Carter takes SG5 to investigate a possible ORI supergate but they return quite quickly after gating to the wrong planet, the SGC computers and hardware comes under scrutiny and they find nothing but the signal being generated by the gate reveals an embedded pulse which Sam believes to be some sort of gate keeper in effect blocking access to the intended destination and automatically rerouting to another gate. The signal is decoded and SG1 and SG5 arrive on the world and discover a lab complete with a DNA manipulation device and a humanoid frozen in an Ancient cryo unit. It turns out the lab was being used to experiment with the development of advance humans and more specifically Anubis was looking to once again reach Accession by artificially improving the brain power of his clones. Khalek proves to be a bad seed, not a surprise being a clone of Anubis without many of the restrictions placed on his powers, he quickly escapes from the SGC but as with all Goa’uld his arrogance proves his undoing as he underestimates both Sam and Daniel.
Prototype is a pretty good episode more so it has to be said thanks to the excellent performance of Neil Jackson who captured to initial innocence of Khalek and then the cold calculating manipulation and arrogance of the reborn Anubis. The dialogue between Khalek and Daniel and then Woolsey was well written and performed flawlessly, it really did spell out much of the current situation that exists on Earth as the SGC and IOA have to deal with in many cased contradicting goals even in the face of the ORI incursion in the Milky Way.
We get some good stunt work and action when Khalak takes on the entire base upto an including using Teal’c as a battering ram and it’s really cheating when you can create a shield to block bullets, doesn’t really seem very fair at all. It’s perhaps more gratifying then it should be that ultimately a single shot delivered from a 9mm from an unexpected source proves his downfall but once again we see all aspects and talents of the SGC personnel being put to good use.
