There has been some discussion over the format of the next few years of the Gatecast in terms of merging the last three seasons of SG1 with the first three seasons of Atlantis. Now there is some crossover, not a huge amount but may be worth linking the two shows on a permanent or temporary basis. In general I prefer one approach and Alan another so why not have a poll where the people that actually listen can have their say:)

Jaime Ray Newman guest starred in the recent episode of GRIMM (S2E6 Over My Dead Body) which aired in the USA on NBC on Friday the 5th of October. She reprised her role as Angelina the Blutbod and once again lets her affections for Monroe govern her actions. Jaime has been in many scifi series including Stargate Atlantis playing Laura Cadman as well as roles on Eureka, Eastwick and Supernatural.

As many of you know we have been having a lot of issues since our long term web host changed the services they offered and we lost our access to itunes and then our listing in the store itself things have been bouncing around as we’ve fiddled with things. However once Alan got back from his holiday and conventioning he sorted it out quickly. We have been running the website under the new host all week and so far it’s proven reliable to the point that we have submitted the podcast to itunes and once again it’s listed in their store.

Looks an impressive piece of gaming modification, the StarCry engine looks up to the task so might be worth keeping an eye on with it’s Stargate themes although light sabres and vipers do spice things up:)

We’ve been having issues moving the database to the new host and getting everything working right so I’ve decided not to release this weeks episode “Inauguration” until the website and feed are bullet proof. I hope you’ll stick around for what is a pretty good clip show but for now I want to thank everyone who voted in our season 7 poll, it was the most successful so far getting 75 votes from all over the world. The results can be seen via the existing link if you don’t want to wait for the wrap up show to be released which we recorded yesterday, it came in at 148 minutes so will need editing:)
I am also posting this via Firefox, Chrome doesn’t seem to like the site right now.

It’s been reported via TV Line that Amanda Tapping will be joining the eighth season of the hit show Supernatural in a recurring role from within the ranks of the Angels. Amanda recently put aside her 4 years working on Sanctuary as well as doing two tv movies (Random Acts of Romance and Taken Back:Finding Haley ) plus a stint behind the camera on the upcoming Primeval:New Worlds being produced for Space in Canada.
Supernatural returns to The CW on October 3rd.

The latest episode of The Scifi Diner podcast (150th) includes an interview with Jonathon Young who played Dr Parrish in two episodes of Stargate Atlantis but is perhaps more familiar to fans of Sanctuary where he played the wonderfully over the top Nikola Tesla in Sanctuary.
