A Very Happy Birthday to Josh Byer who was a Sergeant in the Stargate SG1 episode Rules Of Engagement and appeared in Caprica, Psych, Dark Angel and Night at the Museum 2.
He is also an author/writer and artist.
Online Gallery ( Saatchi )
Happy Birthday to Colm Meaney who was the Genii leader Cowen in Stargate Atlantis but made his mark as Miles O’Brien in Star Trek DS9 and before that TNG. He currently plays Thomas Durant in the excellent Hell On Wheels but lets not forget his great performance in The Commitments.
Louis Ferreira guest starred in “Surprises” the season four premiere of the Canadian cop drama Rookie Blue which aired on the 23rd of May, the episode picks up roughly 6 months after the season three finale which saw two of the “rookies” go undercover. I’ve been watching the show since it began and following Missy from her stint on Reaper and of course Ben Bass who has guest starred in a single episode of Stargate SG1.
Louis is really making an impact as a guest star on some good high end dramas as well as starring in the excellent Motive, another reason why a return to the Stargate franchise seems further away for many former stars who are having success with other shows. No airdate yet for the UK.
Happy Birthday to Tyler McClendon who played Lt Banks in Stargate SG1 and some Wraiths in six episodes of Stargate Atlantis including “Kenny” He’s also appeared in Fringe, Eureka, Smallville and Underworld Awakening.
Many happy returns of the day to Lou Gossett Jr who was the Jaffa leader Gerak in Stargate SG1. A well known actor he appeared in theatrical features such as Enemy Mine and Iron Eagle as well as tv work on Psych, Roots and Touched by an Angel.
Last but not least Birthday best wishes to Ivan Cermak who played two roles
( Captain Hagman & Major Altman ) in Stargate Atlantis as well as appearing on Battlestar Galactica, Fringe, Supernatural and Human Target.
A very happy birthday to Musetta Vander. She appeared in two episodes of Stargate SG1 playing Shan’auc and then Shauna. She’s also guest starred in NCIS, Xena, Voyager, Buffy and more recently starred in 5 Hour Friends and Under The Bed.

Nemesis Part 1
It’s Elizabeths birthday something she kept quiet about but John has his methods and presents her with a hand made piece of pottery. Meanwhile the search for premium quarters in the city goes on with Rodney really looking for a balcony but they do find a lab with a stasis chamber intact but with an occupant. The woman looks very old and upon investigation it seems she has been asleep for around ten thousand years, infact since Atlantis was first abandoned and sunk beneath the waves.
They revive her and she is both aware and comprehending of the situation in fact she seems to know a lot more than she should including the personnel of the base and specifically Dr Weir herself but that is reasonable when they discover she is Elizabeth transported back in time and from another timeline and then set in motion the events as they transpired when this expedition arrived on the city.
Before I Sleep is an excellent episode of Atlantis and rivals some of the best of the whole
franchise, it has depth and emotion combined with a solid scifi story element and some top
notch make up and body double work. The use of footage from the pilot to add weight to
the story was well done and it was interesting to see those that would become the Ancients
during their darkest hour as the Wraith were coming close to victory. The introduction of the
time ship in this series also pays off with the similar ship seen in SG1 which is pivotal in it’s
season finale.
We got plenty of feedback for last weeks episode on Facebook and Brad sent us a nice long
voicemail for this weeks so the episode was a little long, I dropped the news and birthdays to
keep the show under an hour so enjoy and please let us know what you think. We’d love any
feedback especially audio and itunes reviews/ratings but no pressure:)

I watched the season finale of Motive yesterday which starred Amanda Tapping. She wasn’t one of the identified players in the story (the show tells you who the victim and murderer are) but it was an excellent role and performance plus some good makeup work to age her where appropriate. Motive is now being aired in the US on ABC and comes to the UK on the 13th June at nine o’clock on Universal.
Happy Birthday to Ron Blecker who made three appearances on Stargate (SG1 and SGA) as well as being a technical advisor to SG1. He was also a tech and/or military advisor on various shows and movies such as Battlestar Galactica, 2012, Harsh Realm, Taken and Watchmen.
I’ve just watched the episode “Ruthless” the twelfth episode of the first season of Motive a show that has finished it’s run in Canada but is now airing in the US and the UK.
In tonight’s episode there are quite a few guest actors who have appeared in various Stargate shows not counting any of the regular cast of Motive so I wonder how many you recognise and do you know the Stargate episodes they were in:)
Happy Birthday to Claude Knowlton who played the Doctor in Stargate SG1’s Avalon part 1 as well as appearing on Scandal, The Closer and Whistler.
Sharing the birthday and many happy returns to Kevin Minato, a Boy in the Stargate Atlantis episode Letters from Pegasus and now working behind the scenes as a Grip and Camera Operator.

A Very Happy Birthday to John Billingsley who played Dr Coombs in the Stargate SG1 episode The Other Guys and Dr Phlox in Enterprise, he’s also had a recurring role in True Blood and played himself in Roswell.

Many happy returns of the day to Tahmoh Penikett who was the replicator Third in Stargate SG1’s Unnatural Selection and Karl ‘Helo’ Agathon in Battlestar Galactica. He has also starred in Dollhouse, Bomb Girls and guest starred on Continuum. Look for him in the upcoming Superman movie.
Oh yes Ben Cotton who plays Kavanagh they guy we all love to hate on Stargate Atlantis made a guest appearance on last weeks Defiance “The Serpent’s Egg” as Diago a travelling salesman who may have had a murky past. Ben has recently appeared in Alcatraz, Arrow, Bates Motel and Arctic Air.
Many happy returns of the day to Jason Gray-Stanford who played Orner in the Stargate SG1 episode Past & Present. He is perhaps best known for his role on the series Monk playing detective Randy Disher but also had the lead in Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century.
I’m catching up on my Motive the hit Canadian crime drama and the episode I watched “Brute Force” starred Adrian Holmes the Welsh born actor who is a well recognised name in both movies and television. Adrian plays Mark ‘Machine’ Mason the victim in this episode of Motive and as is the style we see him in flashback looking good in and out of the boxing ring which is no surprise given it’s a passion of his. Adrian can be seen in the upcoming Elysium and Debug and had recent guest roles on Arrow, Cult and further back two episodes of Stargate SG1.
