The latest live online auction of Stargate props takes place this October 1st at 10am PST.
Propworx once again with Stargate Artifacts are using Liveauctioneers to power the online/live process so it’s open to all. A grand total of 168 props are in the auction and there will even be some from Stargate Universe.

Stargate Universe – Complete Season 1-2 [DVD]: Amazon.co.uk:
Not an overly attractive price at £56.99 but MGM are doing a Paramount/CBS number on SGU fans in terms of pricing and of course what is totally unforgivable is the lack of a Blu-ray boxset or even a season 2 Blu boxset. In this day and age and with this production the lack of a HD offering barring broadcast and itunes is simply not on and well surely giving the customer what they want is preferable to making pirated options more attractive?

The Scifi Rewind is a collaboration between members of The ScifiDiner and Tuning Into ScifiTV podcasts (Scott, Miles and Kevin) and they will be covering Stargate the theatrical release in their next episode. Contributions and thoughts need to be in to them around the 15th of this month for inclusion in the movie discussion and if nothing else it’s another reason to see where it all began.

Christopher Judge joins ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ cast
Call me over excited but it’ll be great to see Chris on the big screen in a major movie not that I don’t appreciate his appearances in more budget conscious projects:)
Michael Shanks pops up all over the place, Amanda has her success with Sanctuary and RDA pretty much has been living the good life only Chris has kept a comparatively low profile.

Joseph Mallozzi Reveals More About ‘stargate: Extinction’
Joseph has revealed a little more of the background to the proposed SGA movie “Extinction” which would have followed on from the season 5 finale aka series finale episode.
On a personal note still debating buying the SGA Blu-ray boxset.

Dean Devlin the writer of the original theatrical movie which eventually spawned the TV series hints at a future for the theatrical side of the franchise. Not sure I agree that the original cast could be the focus of a new movie but they could certainly add some flavour.

More news on the upcoming SGA Blu-ray boxset due for release on the 26th of July. It is currently being offered for a paltry £79.93 from Deep Discount with free p&p for US customers. A rather attractive price I have to say:)

She looks great in Goa’uld – Boing Boing.
Not overly practical but that has been a kind of trait with the system lords, appearance is everything. I’m not sure modern fashion is ready for a return to the Egyptian styles but given what we’ve seen in Stargate there are certainly some impressive costuming possibilities.

It’s great to see JR Bourne getting a regular gig on a promising new television series. Yes Teen Wolf sounds a little cheesy (the movie was) but after watching the first episode I really liked most of the characters and this could turn into a fun show courtesy of MTV on a Monday night.
Don’t be put out by the angsty nature of the trailer, remember Vampire Diaries started the same way and that is far from a teen centric emotion fest.

Now this is looking really smart and I’m still tempted despite knowing I’ll have to import the boxset since I don’t hold out hope for a UK release.
