There are two Stargate related birthdays on the 22nd of July, two actors who have made brief appearances on Stargate SG1 in more than one role which while not unheard of is normally reserved for those under prosthetics.

A very Happy birthday on July 13th to actor Neil Denis who played the insufferable and young Rya’c who truth be told did grow up and turn out ok up to a point, at least he wasn’t Jake Sisco:)
A very happy birthday to Mel Harris who played the enigmatic Oma Desala in three episodes of Stargate SG1, she probably did more for Daniel and the human race than we know although she was also responsible for Anubis so once again the Ancients, not as smart as they think they are:)
Mel also played Hope in the long running drama Thirtysomething and more recently starred in the series Saints & Sinners.
Happy birthday (July 8th) to actor Robert Knepper who guest starred on Stargate Universe for alas just the six episodes in the second season as Simeon a Lucian Alliance officer. He is much better known for his role as T-Bag in the long running Prison Break and also roles on Heroes, Thieves and Carnivale.

Happy birthday to Saul Rubinek who played Emmett Bregman in the Stargate SG1 double episode “Heroes” the one that made everyone shed a tear, he also stars on Warehouse13 as Artie and has had recurring roles on Leverage and Fraiser.
A very happy birthday to Alan Ruck who guest starred just the once on Stargate Atlantis as Dr Fletcher in the episode “The Real World”.
Alan is one of the most recognisable actors on television and the movies having performed in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Spin City and was the Captain of an Enterprise. His latest role has been in the new ABC Family show Bunheads.

Many happy returns to Peter H Kent who celebrates his birthday today on the 23rd of June.
Peter works in front and behind the cameras as performer and stuntman/co-ordinator and has an extensive resume in television and cinema. He guest starred in three episodes of Stargate SG1 playing Kintac in “The Devil You Know” and “Jolinar’s Memories” then Bak’al in the episode “Talion”.
He recently worked on the series Alcatraz and True Justice.
Many happy returns to Erica Durance on her birthday today (June 21st).
Erica has appeared just the once on Stargate SG1 as Krista James in the Teal’c centric episode Afinity and of course as a great Lois Lane on Smallville. She is now starring in Saving Hope alongside Michael Shanks and Daniel Gillies.
